Impacts for the Week of 11/10/2025 – 11/14/2025
The work on Broken Lance is almost complete and scheduled to be completely done next Friday 11/14. Crews will finish installing the guardrail at the bridge and complete the final grading and cleanup of the site. The bridge and the entire length of Broken Lance is tentatively scheduled to be back open Wednesday 11/12.
The Town is continuing to try and coordinate and work with Comcast to cleanup up their pedestals and conduit to finish their work along Broken Lance.

On-going Reminders:Transit Stop 155 near the Broken Lance Bridge will be closed during the project starting 4/28 through project completion. The Free Ride will begin detouring through Red Feather on 4/28. The bus stop at Now Colorado and near Flintstone to remain open.
Parking within the right of way needs to be avoided due to causing safety issues with pedestrians, vehicles, emergency services, and transit. Please move your vehicles fully into your driveway on your property at all times.
Construction Description:
This project is located in the southern portion of the Town of Breckenridge, Colorado. This stretch of road is currently in poor condition due to the drainage problems from the ground water and runoff that occurs. This project’s goal is to mitigate the drainage problems. Construction includes the following: replace the culvert crossing over the Blue River with a new bridge, install a French drain in the ditch line from White Cloud to the Blue River, replace the waterline along the same stretch of road, and install a sidewalk from Trappeur Villas to the east to the Broken Lance/Broken Lance intersection on the north side of the street. Storm sewer is to be installed that connects to the new French Drain. This project will involve repaving the entire street after drainage and water line work is complete.
